In this event WestJet asked its guests at the Toronto Pearson Airport about their wishes for last Christmas. They had a big LCD screen on which a man made Santa Clause ask about thier wishes. Customers thought it was only merely for fun and they told their wishes. Some ask for TV, socks, headphones etc. As the flight reached its destination at Calgary Airport, customers were tired and went to collect their baggage. Instead of receiving their bags they recieved all the gifts they wished for. Even if it was too expensive, WestJet provided all what they wanted. This cheered up all the customers and all were very happy. It was an awesome moment as you can see from this video below:
This strategy caught a huge positive word of mouth and its youtube video got almost 7 million hits the very next day. This promotion ultimately resulted in high loyalty of thier customers and the ones going with other airline also opt to choose its services. This was a very smart move by WestJet to capture the hearts of its consumers. Surely, this miracle will be remembered for ages.
